I need your help. I’m working on a revision to my XP backup article, a version for Vista, and a version for Linux.
– What program(s) to you use for backups?
– Where do you backup? (another drive, CD/DVD, external hard drive, another computer…)

I Beta tested WHS and was 100% unimpressed with it. There isn’t anything there you can’t get from another OS and/or product. I didn’t even understand the rational behind the offering. First, most folks don’t need or want a home server. Second, any OS you want to use is fine, you don’t need a “server OS”. Windows XP or better yet Linux will do just fine. Oh, and note to the author of the article… No it isn’t a joke, just another attempt by you-know-who to separate your money from your wallet.
