ZZ Top Bassist Dusty Hill Dead at 72
I’ve been a ZZ Top fan since I was a teenager. I even made my own ZZ Top keychain using my high school’s metal shop.
I’ve seen that Little Ol’ Band From Texas many times. The most memorable was when I was stationed in West Germany. They played at the Olympiahalle, Munich on September 27, 1986. I remember some of the boards from the ice rink still being up and the bouncers trying and failing to take our camera. I’ve included some pics below.
Mr Hill, thank you for the music and all the memories that go with it.
One of my ZZ Top favs with a great bassline. Turn the bass up and crank it.

I seen that… I always said they made a lot of noise for just 3 guys.

Hello Eric. Do you still have the ZZ Top keychain you had made in High School? Has it held up well over all these years? I really love there music. I wish I could of seen them. I have almost all of there albums. What one is your favorite?
Eric (a.k.a. TweakHound) says
Don’t have the keychain anymore.
For albums my fav is Eliminator.

Elimator album was hooked first time I heard it. Absolutely f******g brilliant. Love the tongue in cheek lyrics. That lineup will be sadly missed.

Yeah, I love “TV Dinners”!
