I said last week I was looking for a new password manager.
A decision has been made…

Check out pwsafe.org. Password Safe was developed by Bruce Schneier. Can’t get much better than that. Been using this for years. One problem though is it doesn’t integrate with Windows like LastPass does.

I am well aware of the brilliant Mr. Schneier as I have read his stuff in the past. Password safe is not a password manager. From his site: “Password Safe allows users to store all passwords in a single “safe” (password database)”
Also, someone needs to do something with the 20 year old site layout!

Today I deleted my Lastpass account after importing my data into it’s new home which is Bitwarden!

Well, there you go. Didn’t realize the difference and never thought about having to manually copy and paste from Password Safe. The site is very dated.
Derek Bowen says
I’ll admit it, my password security has been pretty damn lax. I started using Bitwarden today, and have now changed and added almost all of my compromised passwords on Chrome. Even thinking about going premium. Thanks Eric.

I use copy and paste for KeepassXC, so it doesn’t bother me to do the same with Password Safe.
Amir says
Why you didn’t choose 1Password?
