Mint Cinnamon has now become my OS of choice. As much as I’d like to ditch Windows, I rely on too many 3rd party software packages that do not support Linux to make it a viable option. As much as possible I limit my Internet activity to Linux and am at the point now where I log into windows (7) only a few times a week when I need to use a specific piece of software. This latest version of Mint (18.3) really looks nice. From what little so far I’ve seen of the changes they’ve made I really like it. IMHO It’s a lot more user friendly now, especially for those transitioning from Windows. It works nicely with TorGuard also. As a side bonus I can now even use some of my old hardware (SCSI scanner) out of the box that Windows and the manufacturer abandoned after XP.
