So I’ve been looking at backup software to possibly replace Acronis True Image. I came across Macrium Reflect.
There are 2 editions for home users, Free and Home. Home has the features I require and then I looked at the price…
$70? Seriously? For one fracking computer? WTF? Does this program go on sale?
I would pay $70 but for that I want 3-5 computers. They want $140 for a 4 pack.
Reckon I’ll keep looking.

I bought Macrium Reflect Home last year and never regretted it. You can even view the image as a virtual drive. Excellent and speedy support and frequent updates. I guess you get what you pay for.

Agreed, too expensive.

I would highly recommend Terabyte’s Image for Windows – DOS – Linux (GUI). I switched to using it back in 2012 after having used Acronis TrueImage for years. Acronis was too expensive to maintain and with each new release got more bloated, also starting taking over the system (like Symantec and McAfee does with their products). Terabyte Image for Windows comes with support for Windows, DOS and Linux, it is very inexpensive, very cost effective and have frequent updates. Tech support is also excellent. Easy to use, have had no problems with it, not bloated, has lots of other utilities for OS deployment.
