Robby Steinhardt, former violinist and vocalist with the band Kansas, dies at 71
“Steinhardt, whose classically influenced violin playing set Kansas apart from other rock bands, died Saturday at age 71 at a Tampa, Fla., hospital of complications from pancreatitis.”
Robert Eugene Steinhardt (May 25, 1950 – July 17, 2021) was an American rock violinist and singer best known for his work with the group Kansas, for which he was co-lead singer/”frontman” and MC along with keyboardist Steve Walsh, from 1973 to 1982 and from 1997 to 2006.
I saw Kansas and Night Ranger at The Boathouse, Norfolk, VA back in…let me Google that…Feb 15, 1989. Mr. Steinhardt had left the band before that.
