I notice Steve Gibson’s InSpectre negates Retpoline in Win10. I wonder which is better to use?
Eric (a.k.a. TweakHound) says
I don’t see where InSpectre does anything involving Retpoline?
Dennis R Skipper says
Disable InSpectre performance good, BTIKernelRetpolineEnabled : False
BTIKernelImportOptimizationEnabled : False. Enable InSpectre performance bad. BTIKernelRetpolineEnabled : True
BTIKernelImportOptimizationEnabled : True
Eric (a.k.a. TweakHound) says

As far as I can tell, InSpectre hasn’t been updated with the new Retpoline info?
Dennis R Skipper says
Thanks. I meant to say Performance slower if InSpectre release #8 enable protection then BTIKernelRetpolineEnabled : True
BTIKernelImportOptimizationEnabled : True
