Not much going on out there. I reckon it’s the holidays.
Watch Out: Clicking “Check for Updates” Still Installs Unstable Updates on Windows 10
Microsoft hasn’t learned its lesson. If you click the “Check for Updates” button in the Settings app, Microsoft still considers you a “seeker” and will give you “preview” updates that haven’t gone through the normal testing process.
I’m curious, do all the Microsoft execs have to go to clown school before they work there? Do they all have a Masters in Arrogance and Dismissiveness? Is the Microsoft campus in Redmond really just a giant echo chamber? The level of stupidity, incompetence, and condescension under the current leadership is a marvel to behold.

The leek has one nice IT related benefit: its tip is narrow enough to fit into a network port and be used as a wedge to push down the retention tab on a 10baseT jack. (Or 8P8C jack if you’re being picky.)

I agree with you Eric,Microsoft doesn’t care about quality, just their deep pockets, and the rest of us have to keep relying on their misguided updates, they need to get better

TBH, If they went to clown school I think things would be better then what they are lol. But honestly I do not think they even have a degree at all. I mean you will have issues every now and then, but windows 10 updates are getting to be as bad as vista, the way I seen things. Its sad very sad

The main problem with the “Check for Updates” button is that it is mislabelled. It should be called “Download and install any update that has not been installed in this computer” because that is what it does. What it SHOULD do is Check to see what updates are available and then give you the choice of which to install. That would be far more sensible and agree with the buttons description.
Re those ‘turntables’ They only have an 8″ arm (maybe a 7.5″) so the tracking distortion would be horrendous and is likely to damage the groove. You can not build a half decent sounding record playing system for that sort of money. Either use CD’s/stream or spend some decent cash to get something that will do the records justice.

I had enough of Win 10 this past year. Got myself a Mac. I know how you feel about Apple here so don’t bother slamming. However, I am truly enjoying my Mac, much more than I expected too, hmmm.
