Ed Bott has called B.S. on the Forbes reporter that claimed Microsoft was gonna allow us to fully control Win10’s privacy options.
Geeze. I reckon only time will tell.
Here is the real gem from Microsoft’s statement to Ed:
“Executives believe that existing privacy controls are reasonable for consumers and there’s no need for a drastic change.”

Hmmm… I’m not really seeing much new info there? What was your takeaway?

IMHO we will never know exactly what data MS is sending since the data is encrypted, I don’t believe they have/would tell us everything, and I wouldn’t believe them if they did.
The spying issue may be overblown depending on your point of view. Configured correctly you can definitely cut it down.
My desire is one button to eliminate all of it.

Haha, is so funny reading the comments from “Redmond Internet Defence Force” on many sites.
When the issue on the non-existent privacy in Windows 10 was raised, the answer was “it’s a feature on a beta version !!”
Now the denial is still strong, but denying an obvious spying is futile.
