Tom Warren of WinRumors/Neowin/iVerge claims the Windows Phone is dead.
To be honest I selfishly hope that is the case. I was never interested in a Windows Phone and I desperately want Microsoft to get the mobile/phone crap off my desktop OS.

I have a windows phone and love it. Why the hate?
I do agree it’s probably going to be dead eventually,(and I haven’t read your linked article)due to the(IMHO) the lack of apps the others offer.
Seems to me there is not much interest from windows app development. That doesn’t bother me though as I an not much on using a phone to serf the net or use social media. I am only really concerned with will it text my friends, will it make and receive calls and voice mail, and can I get e-mails, and take pictures. My windows phone does all of that. If I want to search the inter web, read articles and such I use a computer. Far easier for me than looking at a small screen in mobile mode.
Some peeps may holler “Security”. “they are spying on you”, and what not. But who isn’t these days. I have owned and have android and Apple devices. Between those two, android wins with me. I would never own an Apple phone, but that’s just me.
I also agree with you about the windows phone stuff on the OS. I can do without it and don’t use it. Again IMHO I think it there for all devices to look and act the same.
So, lets say the win phone goes out, they will surly have to revamp the software right?

Hate is too strong a word. Indifference, or annoyance would be better.
