Like hundreds of thousands of others I downloaded Windows 8.
I’m curious if any of you out there have checked it out.
I’ve got it installed as a dual-boot With Windows 7 and in VirtualBox (screenshots follow).
Truthfully, other than playing with the internals there isn’t much to look at.
As has been stated by Microsoft, many of the features coming to Windows 8 aren’t there yet and other things are broken.
Interestingly, Windows 8 picked up the fact that I installed it on the second partition of a drive that had Windows 7 on it and added the option to boot into either one:

RAM: 3072MB
Processor: 4 (Enable PAE/NX)
Display: 256 MB (Enable 2D/3D Acceleration)
Note: Do not install Guest Additions at this time.
